Implementation of career counseling at secondary vocational schools and the Labor Office in the Karlovy Vary region

Rigorous work on the topic of Implementation of career counseling at secondary vocational schools and the Labor Office in the Karlovy Vary region deals in the research part with ontogenetic aspects in the period of adolescence in the context of choosing a profession. The personality of the adolescent individual is taken into account, while social-psychological factors in the process of transitioning to the labor market are included. One of the chapters deals with career concepts. Subsequently, options for career counseling at the level of secondary vocational schools and the Labor Office of the Czech Republic are addressed. In the empirical part of the work, the set research goals are fulfilled. The fulfillment of the set goals consists in the verification of cooperation in career counseling at secondary vocational schools and the Labor Office in the Karlovy Vary Region. In this context, the actual implementation of career counseling at individual levels and the use of these services by pupils is verified. Questionnaire methods at the level of secondary vocational schools and semi-structured interview methods at contact workplaces of the Labor Office are used for the research investigation. This bachelor thesis addresses the issue of the career counseling within organizations. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the topic of career, its historical development and current conceptions of career. Further it deals with the topic of career counseling, its historical development and some key concepts and approaches. One of areas where can be career counseling applied is organizational context. Career counseling is a part of a wider career support that can be provided by organizations to their employees. Bachelor thesis summarize how can be career counseling in organizations utilized, which are its goals in the organizational context and how it relates to another activities of career management. Applied part of the thesis proposes the project of the research with the objective of developing a questionnaire that could measure the need of the use of the career counseling within organizations.
The Use of Roznov Art Therapy in Career Counseling

The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of two disciplines contributing to the development of human self-knowledge and increasing the quality of his life; art therapy and career counseling. The first part deals with the theoretical definition of these disciplines, describes their starting points and specifics of the Rožnov approach in art therapy and the sociodynamic concept of career counseling. On the other level, they follow their identical and different features. RESUME The times based on one individual's decision about which school to study to be able to choose further continuous and smooth career path has been over. As a result of current global and local social changes everybody should be prepared to the every possible change in career. Nevertheless the first choice of career is still an important milestone and can direct the individual career, but it is not the only key milestone, that determines the individual career once and for ever. People in contemporary world should be able to respond quickly to constant changes, evaluate new situations and be able to make the right decisions. The widespread myth is that success means to raise money as quickly as possible to guarantee the freedom and happiness. But a real success is a contented life, which is a long way over such values as for example certainty that we are doing the work that we like and which fills us with satisfaction. Thesis Career Counseling, as a part of a general system of counseling at high schools, deals with diverse approaches towards professional preparation at high schools. Any help, with making a right decision of choosing a career or continuing in studies, is undoubtedly an important source for each person at high school and has been occupying this distinctive role in education. This thesis is trying to bring about the changing of the position of Career Counselor's within the school system, in a general system of counseling. The goal of this thesis is to cover the various subjects' conception of counselors at high schools and also trying to entitle their targets in connection with reality. At the end there will be given a description and clarification of three different high schools (each with different cultural and social-economic conditions) and their correspondences towards Career counseling in cooperation with the content analyses of the subjects' conceptions of Career counseling.
Providing of career counselling to pupils with special educational needs

The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical part and research part. The theoretical part of the work itself has three parts in its content. In the first part you will find information about the education of pupils with special educational needs, important legislation, information about support measures, and about school counselling facilities. The second part is focused on the different types of learning disabilities, the assessment of pupils with learning disabilities, how to diagnose them and how to support them during lessons. At the end of the theoretical part there is a section devoted to career counselling because it is associated with the research of my bachleor thesis. At the centre of attention are the methods of the career advisor, his competences, information about the clients and also the activities of the advisor. Motivation of career counsellors for further professional education

The aim of this thesis is to find out what motivation career counsellors have for further professional education. Based on these findings, recommendations have been formulated to overcome obstacles or barriers to such motivation. The theoretical part presents the importance of adult education, which has an impact on the quality of counselling services offered by schools. This thesis also represents the main strategic documents of the Czech Republic, which are related to career counselling. Thesis defines the position of a career counsellor in school and educational counsellor, the qualification exam according to the National qualifications system, a study of an educational counsellor and a new university study program for career counsellors. It also introduces the possibilities and forms of further education in the field of career counselling. The empirical part is based on qualitative data in the form of controlled interviews with thirteen counsellors at schools located in the Ústí and Labem region. The results of the research survey based on respondents' answers pointed out that school counsellors were motivated to further their education by the directors of schools and that they had their own internal motivation to provide professional services.
